Paige Lane Weekes LMT
After having experienced a traumatic car accident, resulting in severe back pain and told that I would have to live with the pain and manage it with medications and surgery. I was faced with a life changing choice. I decided to take a more natural and safe approach to manage my situation with chiropractic adjustments and massage therapy. I soon found that after an intensive care plan, my back pain was relieved.
I was so impressed with the results & caring manner of my therapist it inspired me to pursue a career as a massage therapist. As a massage therapist, I now have the ability to help others have the same wonderful healing experience I received. I attended the Richmond Academy of Massage, and later graduated with an Associate’s degree in Occupational Health from Centura College. I advanced my training and experience with over five years as a certified natural caregiver, while enjoying providing 90-minute relaxation massages, reflexology, and hot stone massages. In addition I have three years of spa experience, along with an additional three years as part of a health & wellness team. I have acquired my certification with the Virginia State Board of Nursing & NCBTMB (National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork).
My favorite aspect of the profession is seeing the relief expressed on my client’s face after a massage, whether the relief is from stress, pain or muscle tension. As a massage client myself I know what that relief feels like and am happy that I can now be part of a holistic care community.
